My apartment.

My name is Jack and I live in Chicago. I live in a small apartment. There are four rooms in my apartment. There is a living room, two bedrooms, and a kitchen. There are two couches, a TV, and an armchair in my living room. There is a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator in the kitchen. In my bedroom, I have three bookcases, a night table, and a bed. I like my apartment, but there is no air conditioning.

Describe your apartment. How many rooms do you have? What furniture do you have?

My City

My name is Jack and I live in the city of Chicago. My city is large and busy. The people are hardworking. Some people are friendly, but some are unfriendly. There are many parks and museums, and sometimes I can go to watch baseball at Wrigley Field. The summers in Chicago are hot and humid, and the winters are dry and cold. Chicago is a very interesting city, but sometimes it is too busy.

Where are you from? Tell me about your favorite city.

Good Job/Bad Job

My name is Jack and I am from Chicago. I am an English teacher. I work at a school. In Minnesota, I was a pizza delivery driver.

A good job for me is a teacher because I can speak, read, and write English. A bad job for me is an electrician because I cannot fix broken air conditioners and broken lights.

Do you have a job? Did you have a job in your country? What is a good job for you? What is a bad job for you?

What's the weather in your country?

My name is Katie. I am from Wisconsin. Wisconsin has 4 seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall. The winter in Wisconsin is long, may 4 or 5 months. It is cold and snowy. It is windy and cloudy. I wear warm clothes in the winter. I wear a big black coat, gloves, a hat, and a scarf.

The spring is short and cool in Wisconsin. Sometimes it rains. There are many flowers. In summer it is very hot and humid. It's usually sunny. Sometimes there are thunderstorms in the night. In summer I wear shorts or skirts. I like the summer because I don't wear a coat.

The fall in Wisconsin is cool and cloudy. It is windy. It is very beautiful. The trees turn red, orange, gold, and brown. Fall is my favorite season in Wisconsin. I like to walk and read outside. I wear sweaters, jeans, a jacket, and a scarf.
